Since January 2019, children and adolescents treated at the Swabian Pediatric Cancer Center at the University Hospital Augsburg have had access to a sports therapy program. Both inpatients and outpatients are offered individual training tailored to the child’s specific health condition. The sports scientist also provides advice on all questions related to sports and physical activity, such as reintegrating children into school or club sports, or establishing contacts with clubs to try out new sports.
